Addison is the north Dallas option, close to Preston Hollow, Plano and Frisco. Its runway is about 7,200 feet, which suits light, midsize and super midsize jets. North of the LBJ Freeway, Addison usually wins on drive time.
FTW · Fort Worth Meacham
Meacham is on the north side of Fort Worth, about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and the shorter drive for Southlake and Westlake. Its main runway is about 7,500 feet.
BNA · Nashville International
Nashville International is about eight miles southeast of downtown. Figure about 15 minutes to downtown and Music Row, about 20 minutes to Brentwood and Green Hills, and about 25 to 35 minutes to Franklin. Its runways are long, with aircraft suitability confirmed for the load and conditions. On big event weekends the private ramps fill and the crew asks for parking early. JWN · John C. Tune
John C. Tune is the general aviation airport on the west side of Nashville, off Briley Parkway. The runway is about 5,500 feet, which suits light jets and many midsize jets; super midsize and heavy jets usually go to BNA. It is about 10 to 15 minutes to downtown and closer than BNA for Belle Meade, West End and Bellevue. It is quieter than BNA and easy to get in and out of.
