Citation CJ3
The CJ3 is the light jet we place clients on regularly from our sourcing network. Six club seats, a quiet cabin, about three hours of comfortable range and runways under 4,000 feet. It is efficient, so it prices well for a couple or a family of four heading to the beach or a meeting. The CJ3+ is the same cabin with newer avionics. On a short corridor leg it is usually where we start.

How we estimate bag counts
We allow 60 to 80% of the listed baggage volume for packing. Assumed external dimensions: checked bag 28 × 20 × 12 in; golf travel bag 50 × 16 × 12 in; weekend bag 22 × 12 × 12 in. Counts are rounded down and show separate loads, not a combined allowance. Unspecified extra storage is excluded.

Include your baggage in a quote request →- Airframe year against the 2005 or newer standard. The CJ3 started in 2004, so nearly every one we source meets it, and we put the year of the aircraft on your quote.
- How much time the crew has on the type and how the operator crews it. We look for pilots who fly the CJ3 often, not a crew who fly it now and then.
- The bags. Sixty five cubic feet takes a weekend for six or a set of golf bags, and a pilot checks the load against the fuel the leg needs before we say the aircraft fits.

How many people fit in a CJ3?
Six adults sit comfortably in the club seats. Seven or eight is possible on a short leg with light bags. Tell us the head count and a pilot will say whether the CJ3 fits or a larger cabin suits the trip.
How much does a CJ3 charter cost?
Your emailed planning estimate shows the current range for the light jet category. The CJ3 tends to sit toward the lower part of that range because it is efficient. Your quote will be exact and after the desk reviews the trip.
What is the difference between the CJ3 and the CJ3+?
Same cabin, same engines, and the same range for practical purposes. The CJ3+ came out in 2014 with newer avionics and a refreshed interior. Either one does the same corridor mission.
