Naples Airport is about two miles from Fifth Avenue South. Count on about 10 minutes to Old Naples and Port Royal, about 15 minutes to Pelican Bay and about 35 minutes to Marco Island. The main runway is about 6,600 ft, which suits light, midsize and super midsize jets and many heavy jets. On a hot day with full fuel for a long leg, a heavy jet may use Fort Myers instead. Naples asks for no jet traffic late at night, so a very late arrival may move to Fort Myers.
RSW · Southwest Florida International
Southwest Florida International in Fort Myers has a 12,000 ft runway and no curfew, so it offers another option, subject to operating conditions and confirmation. It wins when the aircraft is too heavy for Naples, when Naples has no ramp space in a peak week, or when the weather at Naples is below limits. Plan about 45 minutes to Old Naples by car, more in season.

Naples runs November to April. The busy weeks are Thanksgiving, Christmas through New Year, Presidents Day, spring break in March and Easter. In those weeks aircraft book early, ramp space at Naples runs short, and quotes land in the upper half of the range. Book two to three weeks ahead for a peak week and you usually have real choices. In summer the corridor is quieter and pricing softens.
- Nashville is on Central time. Naples is on Eastern. You lose an hour flying down and get it back on the way home.
- In season the Naples ramp fills up. The operator may drop you at Naples, reposition the aircraft to Fort Myers, and come back for your return. That is normal and it is priced into the quote.
- Naples has a voluntary nighttime curfew for jets. If you need to land late, we plan Fort Myers or move the time.
- Summer afternoons bring thunderstorms along the Gulf coast. A morning departure from Naples usually avoids the delay.
