Light jets

Phenom 300

The Phenom 300 has a cabin that is tall and wide for a light jet, big windows, an enclosed lavatory with a window of its own and about 2,000 nm of range. It cruises near 450 knots. Six to eight people ride with a week of bags in the outside bay. The 300E, from 2018, adds a refreshed cabin and a little more speed. It is a light jet that feels like a size up.

How we estimate bag counts

We allow 60 to 80% of the listed baggage volume for packing. Assumed external dimensions: checked bag 28 × 20 × 12 in; golf travel bag 50 × 16 × 12 in; weekend bag 22 × 12 × 12 in. Counts are rounded down and show separate loads, not a combined allowance. Unspecified extra storage is excluded.

Volume estimates only. Bag shape, compartment doors, weight and fuel requirements determine the final fit. Tell us about mixed luggage, skis or bulky items.

Aircraft & pilots

What we review.

Read our standards →
  • Airframe year. The Phenom 300 started in 2009, so every one we source meets the 2005 or newer standard. The year and the cabin version are on your quote.
  • Crew time on type and whether the airplane is a 300 or a 300E. We confirm the proposed cabin and available alternatives for your dates.
  • The runway on a hot day with a full cabin. The Phenom 300 uses about 3,200 feet on a standard day, and a pilot runs the numbers for the field and the temperature before we say it fits.

Fair questions

Phenom 300 questions.

How many people fit in a Phenom 300?

Six adults with bags is comfortable. Seven or eight fits on a shorter leg, and some aircraft have a belted seat in the lavatory for a ninth on a very short hop. Tell us the head count and a pilot will confirm the fit.

How much does a Phenom 300 charter cost?

Your emailed planning estimate shows the current range for the light jet category. The Phenom 300 tends to sit in the upper part of that range because of the cabin and the range. Your quote will be exact and after the desk reviews the trip.

Does the Phenom 300 have a real lavatory?

Yes. It is enclosed, at the back of the cabin, with a door and a window. That is one of the reasons it is a popular light jet.
