A heavy jet is for the trip a smaller cabin cannot do well: ten or more people, six to eight hours nonstop, or a long international leg where you want a full galley, a cabin attendant and room to sleep. The cabin is wide enough for a conference grouping on one side and a divan on the other. Baggage is about 115 to 130 cubic feet, and you can reach it in flight. The heavy jets we source from our sourcing network are the Falcon 2000 and the Challenger 604, and both are aircraft we place clients on regularly from our sourcing network. We also source the Legacy 600 and the Falcon 900 for larger groups.
On our corridor a heavy jet earns its place with the group and the distance. Dallas to New York is about three hours; with twelve people it is a heavy jet trip. Naples to Chicago is a little over two hours, and in season a large family flying home from Naples fills a Challenger 604 with room left for the bags. Dallas to Cabo is about two hours, and a heavy jet turns it into a trip with a hot meal and a cabin attendant. Nashville to the Rockies and Naples to the Northeast are inside two and a half hours; a heavy jet flies them when the group is large, not because the distance calls for it. Where the category truly matters is a long international trip, a transcontinental leg with a full cabin, or the flight where four hours of work on board is the point.

Cabin height is about 6 ft 1 in to 6 ft 2 in on the Falcon 2000 and the Challenger 604, and width is about 7 ft 8 in on the Falcon and 8 ft 2 in on the Challenger, wide enough for two people to pass. Seating varies by aircraft: the Falcon 2000 seats about 8 to 10, the Challenger 604 about 10 to 12, the Falcon 900 about 12 to 14 and the Legacy 600 about 13 to 14. Expect a club grouping, a conference table and a divan you can lie down on. The galley is full size, with an oven, and a cabin attendant can be arranged on nearly any trip. Baggage is about 115 to 130 cubic feet and you can reach it in flight. Every heavy jet we source has an enclosed lavatory, and some have two. Wifi is on nearly every heavy jet we source; we confirm it tail by tail.

When the group is ten or more, the leg runs past five hours, or the trip is international and you want a full galley and a cabin attendant. On a short corridor leg with six people, a heavy jet is more aircraft than the trip needs, and a midsize or a super midsize will do it for less. Tell us the group and the destination and a pilot will say which category fits.
The estimated range per hour and the ranges for Dallas to New York, Naples to Chicago and Dallas to Cabo are on this page. Heavy jets carry a longer daily minimum than the other categories, and the estimate includes it. Enter your own airports and dates for your trip. The estimate is a range using indicative rate bands; your quote will be exact and after the desk reviews the trip.
Often, and always on request. Some operators staff a cabin attendant on every heavy jet trip; others add one when you ask. Catering is arranged ahead of time, from a cold tray to a plated hot meal, and it appears on the quote as its own line. Tell us what you want served and when, and we will build it into the quote.
Naples Airport handles heavy jets, including the Falcon 2000 and the Challenger 604; on a hot day with full fuel a pilot may route a heavy jet through Fort Myers instead. For 30A, a heavy jet uses Northwest Florida Beaches (ECP) rather than Destin Executive, where the runway is about 5,000 feet. Aspen takes both the Falcon 2000 and the Challenger 604; the altitude and the summer heat set the weight limit, and we check it before we quote.
