Challenger 604
The Challenger 604 is the heavy jet with the room. The cabin is about 8 ft 2 in wide, wider than any other aircraft we source, with about 6 ft 1 in of headroom, 10 to 12 seats, a full galley and a baggage bay you can reach in flight. Range is about 4,000 nautical miles, which is coast to coast with a full cabin and the Caribbean from anywhere on our corridor with fuel to spare. Every 604 was built between 1995 and 2006, so nearly every one falls under the age standard's exception review, and we say so up front. The ones we recommend have passed that review in writing. Is the Challenger 604 too old to charter?
Not by itself. The 604 was built from 1995 to 2006, so nearly every one is older than our 2005 standard. When we recommend one, it has passed the written exception review: inspection history, the last heavy check, avionics and interior updates, and the crew’s time on type. You see that review before you decide. If you would rather have a newer heavy jet, we will provide an option and show you the difference in the quote.
How many people fit in a Challenger 604?
Ten to twelve, depending on the layout. The usual cabin has a club of four forward, a conference grouping across from a divan in the middle, and two more seats aft. Twelve adults with bags is inside the limits on every corridor leg. The cabin is about 8 ft 2 in wide, so it feels more like a small living room than an aisle.
